Perseverence is just one word that could describe the thousands of young Japanese Americans who endured adversity and discrimination years after their internment in camps such as Manzanar. Yet despite such hard times, these Japanese Americans prevailed to become not only successful but also accomplished individuals who helped shape American culture as well as American society. Their accomplishments as brave and determined individuals have earned them notoriety as well as distinction in American history.
